Post-Modern Connection first EP "Clustered Umbrella" is out now via Before Sunrise Records.
Post-Modern Connection has just released their first and completely flawless EP “Clustered Umbrella” (2021, Before Sunrise Records). There are five songs that fit perfectly and feature a group focused on reaching new fans around the world, mainly in Brazil.
The band has already released 03 videos of this EP, which were released on their YouTube channel and you can check it below. The first single sees the band juxtaposing melancholic lyrics with playful indie sound. Throughout "Folie a Deux", Post-Modern Connection sing about the convoluted experience of self-discovery. The accompanying David Vassiliev - directed video is equally playful, packed with film shots of the band on adventures. The clip sees Port-Modern Connection heading to beach and through the forest in a style that rivals the likes of Wes Anderson.
“The song is about trying to reflect and question yourself but leaving the dialogue confused and muddled,” Post-Modern Connection explain. “There is no real conclusion, it’s more about describing how convoluted the experience of self discovery can be.” Watch the video for "Folie a Deux" below.
Following the first single, they released the second single "In The Dark" and the music mag Unheard Gems said this: "The vocals have a kind of jazzier King Krule aspect to them, the music takes you from the beachy indie sounds of Her’s and Cayucas to Durand Jones & The Indications. It’s a song that has you itchy to see them live to see how exactly they can pack so much heat into something so short. It’s an entire jam session brought to you in a single.
