As the end of a long night and a reunion with the light, the iconic and restless WRY releases “Aurora”, their eighth studio album. The band, which has helped to tell the story of Brazilian indie rock for over two decades, renews its sound with this new work.

In 2020, they released the album “Noites Infinitas”, which entered dozens of lists of best of the year, top 10 of Brazilian and North American radio programs and took the Dynamite award for Best Indie Release. And in 2021 they released the album “Reviver”, a collection of tracks that never made it into their discography and that were previously unreleased on digital platforms; “Reviver” also entered several “best of” lists.

These last albums came to add to the trajectory of WRY, a active band in the national scene. They also lived in London, playing with The Subways, The Cribs, Ash and The Joy Formidable. They have worked with Tim Wheeler (Ash) and Gordon Raphael (The Strokes). In Brazil, they played with several important bands such as Make Up (US), Superchunk (US), Ira!, Inocentes, Jota Quest and Jupiter Maçã. They made the lineup on festivals such as Bananada, Goiânia Noise, Locomotiva, Lobotomy, Molotov Cocktail, Woodgothic and the Spanish Primavera Sound, in Barcelona.

“Aurora” joins the discography started in 1998, with the release of “Direct”. Since then, “Heart-Experience” (2000), “Flames in the Head” (2005), “She Science” (2009), “National Indie Hits” (2010) and the recent “Noites Infinitas” ( 2020) and “Revive” (2021).
