“One of the most innovative indie bands in Brazil, Cidade Dormitório is supported by a vibrant and super eclectic fan base that always follows the band and their music. The band released the new album "RUINA ou o começo me distrai" at the end of November 2022 and now theyre ready to get back on the road and start touring that album.”

Cidade Dormitório is a indie lo-fi band from Sergipe, Brazil. The band was born out of jam sessions in the outskirts of Aracaju. The first line-up had Yves Deluc on vocals and guitar, Heder Nascimento on guitar, Lauro Francis on bass, and Fabio Aricawa on drums.

The first three met after Yves published his compositions on SoundCloud and was found by the others. Fabio, in turn, was found casually by Yves when he was performing with a Pixies cover band. The members lived in Nossa Senhora do Socorro, a dormitory town in Aracaju; hence the band name.

In 2015, they released their first single, “Barbosa”. Afterward, they participated in the Festival DoSol e, in 2017 (on January 31), released their first EP, “Esperando o Pior”, which was edited by the Banana Records label and whose song “Setas Azuis” played on radio stations in Argentina.

On October 28, 2019, they released their debut album, “Fraternidade-Terror” (Fraternity-Terror). The work was preceded by two singles released in the same year “Relacionamentos são extremamente complicados e meu cachorro sabe disso” (Relationships are extremely complicated and my dog knows it) and “Homo Erectus Plus”.

On July 10, 2020, they released “Verões e Eletrodomésticos” (Summers and Home Appliances), an album of remixes of “Fraternidade-Terror” e “Esperando o Pior”.

In 2022, the band returned from a 2-year hiatus (due to the pandemic) and released a new album on the music label Before Sunrise Records. "RUÍNA ou o começo me distrai” was released on November 2022.

The band now is ready for the road, to complete their new tour "RUÍNA” between 2023 and 2024!
